its friday
we werent assigned a blog this week so im just makin it up. its 9:49 in the morning. i just got out of school. i dont like this college 101 class. its so early and really boring. the teachers cool though so its not so miserable i guess. it just seems everytime this 7 oclock class comes up i cant sleep the night before. its like that "i only have a few hours to sleep so im gunna keep checking the clock" deal that i get every night and its killing me. i work thursday night til like 11 or 12 and then i go to school at 7 til 850 and then im off until 11. i dont think im going to go to my 12 oclock class today. i know the material and already have the homework so im just going to do the homework instead. the 3 hour break inbetween is stupid, but thats what they gave me. i didnt take this class this day. they switched it up on me. oh well i guess ill just have to deal.

1) The great idea is not what i had expected. I thought he wanted to learn more about the culture than what his friend had to tell him. All his friend talked about was the watch and other things that didnt interest him.
2) The great idea is to adopt a little white kid to show them how simple and himble their lifestyle is. They are trying to "rescue" a white child from what they are taught in their native land.
3) Sodas father does not want his daughter to go to school because he fears she will not do what is expected of her. He thinks women are supposed to stay home and clean and cook and pick rice. Soda wants to go to school because she wants to be smart unlike her mother and all the other kids go to school. Sodas mom wants her to go to school so she can be smarter than her and not get ripped off like she did, and to know whats going on.
4) If they adopt Tubab ways they will not live so simple and low tech anymore. They like life the way it is and are adopting kids to bring to their society rather than taking technology from tubab's.
5) That technology and things like that arent needed to live happy and humble and to learn and have a good life.
6) A nation is known by how smart the people are. In the film, it shows that people can learn and become intelligent in a land like theirs where there is no technology or anything. It is not needed for them to get an education.
7) I think this is different from my education because these kids want to go to school and every day we, american kids, resent it. we hate to go to school and beg our parents to let us stay home a day but those kids beg their parents to please let them go.

sample writing
My name is Jason Rocchino. I am 18 years old. I am a son to George and Cheryl Rocchino and a brother to Jacob Rocchino. I am a boyfriend to evelyn zwit and also a cousin, nephew, friend, and many other things. I live in Worth, Illinois, and have been living there for about 15 years. i used to live in Burbank but obviously i can't remember much of that because i was 3. I am here at Moraine Valley to take my general education courses to transfer out, but i'm not sure where im going to transfer yet. i think i want to be a mechanical engineer but i want to be a million percent sure before i rush into it. I dont want to be the guy that settles for the secondary job and makes like half as many dollars a year because he wasn't sure what he wanted to be. I am in this class because it is required and will help me learn to write better for other classes i have now, future classes, and in my future career. Everybody needs to write things all the time and its good to know how to do it correctly so you dont look like an idiot all the time when people read what you have written. In school you make friends and you learn who you are with them and most of the time you and your friends grow up to be similar people with similar interests. Teachers help kids become smart and school and friends help a kid define who he is. Parents also help you become who you are. If your parents are too strict and dont let you do much then you want to be a bad kid and do whatever they dont want you to do. If your too leinient, however, your kid can turn out to be a total punk and nobody wants that. You have to find the center point with your child so they can turn out to be well rounded and you can be proud of them.
